1031 Oilseed rape fields and rain clouds

Walking along the south side of the Hogs Back, one can see a fabulous view down to the distant South Downs in one direction and Farncombe and Charterhouse school across the fields that are part of Pickards Farm.

It’s great to see the passage of the farming year in the crops in those fields, and especially the livid yellow of the oilseed rape flowers, which are often a brilliant foil to a dramatic, rain-filled sky.

The original is in ink and watercolour on Hahnemühle paper.
