Whilst walking around Onslow Village looking for inspiration for another painting I was struck by the contrast between the road name signs and the beautiful beech hedges of the village. In many places the signs are gradually being subsumed into the hedges, and only kept visible by careful cutting.
This view is based on a photo taken in March when the beech leaves are still a fabulous coppery-brown, with the first green shoots of spring coming up below.
The original is in ink and watercolour on Hahnemühle paper.
The card is printed onto a good quality 350gsm silk finish card, is left blank inside for your message, supplied with a white envelope and arrives flat in board-backed envelope to ensure it is in pristine condition.
