1019: 'The heirloom' greetings card

If I am feeling a bit short of inspiration I occasionally take part in social media 'Challenge' that provides a daily prompt to kick start my creative thinking and give me an opportunity to try out new techniques and hone existing ones.

In January 2021, whilst in the middle of a Covid-19 lockdown, I did the '30 day sketchbook challenge' and one of the prompts was 'Something you sit on' - It couldn't really be anything other than our beautiful Stevenson Brothers rocking horse!

Built to order many years ago, with a time capsule of children's drawings hidden inside, and big enough for kids of all sizes to ride, it will be an heirloom for generations to come!

The card is printed onto a good quality 350gsm silk finish card, is left blank inside for your message, supplied with a white envelope and arrives flat in board-backed envelope to ensure it is in pristine condition.
